Welcome Lemondrop

With any luck I'll be back to the Mustang come August. Maybe I will make it to Silver Springs in January (only a couple years late).

How's the wife doing?

She is doing Ok as she can. Has a couple new tumors they are tossing the kitchen sink at and nothing is working. We just move along day to day and don't really worry much about it anymore. After 5 years of dealing with it, we both kinda don't care anymore. Sounds weird, I know, but I am sure others have had the same experience with a long drawn-out sickness. After a while if you worry about it every second, it just rips your sanity away. We kinda ignore the problem, though we know it's not going away.

I still work at the cape for now, since the shuttle is being retired and Constellation is being ended, pretty much everything on the Space Coast is fixing on becoming crap. Shame we will be paying Russians to carry US Astronauts to space, when we have a perfectly fine Space Shuttle. The shuttles are pretty damn safe now, we have cameras on half the external tank and SRB's that can see anything going wrong with foam loss/ FOD strikes. The foam loss issues are minor now, and they continue to tweak it even though the program is down to 2 or 3 flights. I have been off work for near 2 months now, I had shoulder surgery (bone spurs). I have heard that we should make it to next June before we are all fired. Should be fun to lose insurance and all with my wife's issues. Oh well, life sucks but you gotta live through it :)

Did someone say Whizco?
