Welcome steveh326

thanks! Been cruising multiple mustang forums recently trying to get up to speed on my 66 I am working on. Find myself here more than any other. Seems like a great bunch of folks hanging out here.

My 66 GT convertible has been in our family since 1973 when I was in high school. My father bought it as a project car for he and I to work on. It was a basketcase back then. He and I put it back together and drove it for many years. It's been off the road for 15 years or so due to severe rust and structural weakening. 2 years ago started trying to repair it. Beyond my skills, I farmed out all the rust repairs to a retired mechanic/bodyman friend who has been working on it off and on in his spare time. It is ALMOST ready to head to the paint shop, maybe another 2 months of work. Not much will be left of the original structure when it's done. I have never had any interest in 'restoring' any vehicle or keeping it stock. My goal on this car now is to update the suspension, braking, interior, and exterior to as close to modern standards as possible. We'll see how that goes I guess... :)

Anyways, thanks for letting me hang out here, and for all the advice and help I have receivedso far. I apologize now for any future stupid questions I am going ask...lol.
