Welcome swpruett

Hello Everyone!

I finally realized I was a bit late to the party in getting signed up here, but I finally pulled the trigger. My name is Sven Pruett and I am an engine development and valvetrain engineer for Chrysler Street & Racing Technology (SRT) Hemi V8 and Viper V10 engine group.

My "working" life has pretty much been consumed with automobile racing and I am one of the lucky few who have made a good living at it. I was born and raised in south Texas, but most of my family lives in Germany (or with me in Michigan!). The road to Michigan included a 13-year stop-off in the Denver, Colorado area, where I leave many good friends and (unfortunately) my son Chris and grandson Colton.

I have owned my 70 Boss 302 for 28 years and was finally able to begin the restoration and modification of the car during the summer of 2010. I am enjoying the documentation of my restoration adventures on my blog here:

I enjoy sharing the techniques and methods I have learned and have committed to share the good, bad, and ugly of my work. I have learned a lot from this forum already, even as a "non-member" and look forward to the time where I may have something of value to contribute in return. In the meantime, I hope some may take the time to visit my blog and follow along. At the same time, I'm looking forward to the adventure and thank everyone who make this site what it is.
