Welded an X brace for my car last night.

I welded an X brace to tie in my subframe connectors to the convertible plate on the bottom of the car. The tubing is 1 1/4" diameter (same as my Global West SFC). I fabricated some mounts that weld to the SFC so that the brace will bolt to them then to the convertible plate. It turned out pretty nice. My welds look like crap but I will get it down eventually. I plan on cleaning it up and then having it powder coated. It should help keep my car a bit stiffer. I need as much stiffness as I can get with the new motor coming in. 525 RWHP tends to twist things. :ecit

I still need to fully weld the mount on the SFC and make a boxed end. That will give me something to do tomorrow. I want to thank TonyR for loaning me his welder.

Maybe so. I just got my water pump back from Meziere yesterday. I put it on last night but had a problem with a clamp. I am using specta Magna clamps for the bypass and heater hose. I must have overtightened one of them and now it won't tighten enough. I will have to go get one today and with some luck have time tonight to put it on.

Any time. If you want me to come over to help finish weld or you want to bring it over to TIG weld it let me know.
