So you could get a Mach with the Twister package? Are those the original stripes? Ford logo behind wheel, mach logo on door and twister on rear quarter? Whats the emblem on the front fender, Mustang script? Then it has the larger rocker moldings with MACH 1 on them as well. Having seen that one, yours seems a lot better. Not trying to be an ass (it comes natural I think), but this is from a guy that has a only a running horse on the grill and MUSTANG on the decklid......

Yes to your questions and astute observations of the 70 Twister Special package.

Yes. I like the package but the logo placement always seemed odd to me. They only made 96 of those so I guess it makes sense that many people are unfamiliar with it. I think where I'll go from here is to ditch the Sixty-nine from the funnels and add the cobra jet script. Then black out the rocker below the molding and make the ford logo a bit smaller.

NOW I get it....Seeing the original, I see where you were going and I dig it. My first thought was wholly logo batman thats a bit much. But seeing the stock one, your changes are enough to make someone go WTF. Saying that....the cobrajet should be bigger and FORD a tad smaller

they all look really nice, but I like the last one the best as well. Maybe you could add the Mach 1 to the front fender portion of the stripe where the original has ford?

congrats on the new toy! i like the latest photoshopped version too.

oh, i'll not tell my dad you have a vinyl cutter. he would be wearing you out every few days with something...

The cobra jet that was on the front fender or with the funnel?

Front fender. If you had the Mach 1 rocker moldings I would say dont use a vinyl logo as well, but it is a Mach and it needs to be on the car. I dont get the original twister why it has Mach 1 on the rocker then again on the door in the stripe, doesnt fit.

the end of the stripe should be curved with the rear wheelopening.

" Twisted Sixty-Nine " OK for me
Just mach and ford logo's ave odd places to me . :confu

I was reading through to see if anyone posted this--that is exactly what I thought---the top of the stripe should extend toward the wheel opening

Don't you have the feeling that you did ask a question too much .....Sluggo ???? :roll :roll :roll
Confusing isn't it ??? :rant :rant :rant

No not really. Got about what I expected. I did think more people would be familiar with the twister mustang. Aestheticly, the stripe should end opposite the front in angle or match the wheel arch.

I'm not trying to reinvent it. The goal was to show how that package influenced the car and myself. I'm trying to remain true to the general characteristics while making simple changes to make it obvious what its not.

In the end I'm going with the original plan with a few minor tweaks. Making the Ford logo smaller, making the sixty-nine text s little smaller and blacking out the rocker below the molding. I may take rick's suggestion to add the cobra jet to the front fender. The elements that I feel are must haves are the Ford logos, the mach1 logo, the shape of the stripe, the funnel cloud and the s at the base of the funnel. The only way I could think of to save the s and connect it to the car's identity was to spell out 69.

I do appreciate everyone's opinions.

I wonder if he would get a ticket with your suggestion... :part
I doubt it. No real nudity or anything. I see bumper stickers all the time that have offensive language etc. How many truckers have those chrome female silhouettes on their mud flaps?

I think it would be cool and certainly "period correct".

So I guess my suggestion is out of the question? :shrug

No offense but yeah, pretty much. If I was building a cumaro I'd use it though.
