Not AI, just condescending assholes. Claimed Stapler and I were "banning too many spammers". I shitchoo not. Also they are leveraging Google hits on the site to pimp the forum to advertisers. The reason for those hits is so much great info shared by folks like 22GT and Woodchuck who are walking encyclopedias. So info being shared among friends there is essentially being monetized. Not something I'm happy about or comfortable with so I pulled out. As did everyopne but Laurie.

Upside. Now that I no longer feel obligated to check the forum fires several times a day I don't feel like getting on there much. 25 years is a long time. While on my stool in the shop listening music, piddling on my trail bike getting it ready for a weekend ride I thought to myself "THIS is my happy place, always has been. Here. Doing stuff like this, not on my ass infront of a screen." So I've decided to consciously pull back from the internet in general. Still need it for work, reference, fun, etc but no endless reading of forums and video watching. So the last few nights after work I've been spending that screen time out in the shop putting an MSD box on the '67 in place of its Duraspark II. With no one telling me what to do and how to do it.

I'm staying as a spy.
