What did you get done on your Stang today????

Got a few of those photos I said I'd post. Fortunately I had time (and sunlight!), before work today! The bulk are posted on my build thread, but here's a couple:

p.s. Just ignore the run on the inner fender in the engine compt pic. It's not really there, it's a figment of your imagination! :roll

Removed the shaker and detailed the engine, Bled the brakes and adjusted all four drums, painted the rocker pinch weld black.

FINALLY got off my butt, dug the car out and adjusted the clutch today. One test drive later and I'm a happy man :steer

Does road trips to buy parts count as doing something TO the car...or just FOR the car? One of my best friends found a Craigslist ad the other day for a BEAUTIFUL bench seat for the coupe. While I already had one, which was generously given to me by a good friend a fellow Stangfixer, it was very rough to say the least. I could repair it, but it needs a LOT of work (which I was aware of when he gave it to me). I couldn't pass up this deal so on the road I went. It was a 3 1/2 hour drive (one way!), but it netted me a seat that was in SUPER condition. The side molding on one seat back was a little bent and there was a small tear in the upholstery on the passenger seat back. Other than that the seat looks brand new! I planned on replacing side moldings and have a spare set and the upholstery was being redone in Parchment anyhow (this seat is black). In other words, no problem. The best part, it just cost me the gas and $80!! It's saved me a TON of work!! :yah

Installed the 88660's today, PITA, My hand feels like it went through a blender, But im glad its done. The fit good, clear the crossmember and the modern driveline T5 cable Looks like ill burn up alotta Number 8 spark plug wires....

Need to finish the fuel line and it's VROOM, GLUB GLUB time...

Sorry but no your trip to supposedly buy a bench seat does not qualify. Why?

:wop

You guys are KILLIN' me! LOL
Here's the pics. In addition to the one small tear, one of the mounting studs for the driver's side seat track is broken (easy enough to fix!).

The seat:

The only damage to the vinyl:

Figured I made out quit well! The seller actually "screened" me before being willing to sell to me. He didn't want it to go to someone who was just going to flip it for a profit, or to someone that was going to use it in a street rod. He said he really wanted it to guy to a Mustang guy! I guess I qualified! LOL

Got the car up on the rack pressure washing the underside for the last four hours. Amazing the condition of the factory paint under there. Nothing like a car that spent the first 28 years of it's life in Cali. :pbj

Pics Monday after it dries up.

Finally got some garage time this week. I decided to hire I guy to do some of my shop's paperwork so hopefully I'll have some more time to work on my own car.

I installed my Vintage Air front runner kit. The engineering in this kit is awesome. I love how compact everything is. I powdercoated, painted, or clear coated every piece so I won't have to keep polishing the aluminum.

That set up looks SUPER clean!! :thu :thu :thu

Wash and waxed the stang we are taking on the Power Tour. Cleaned the engine. Need to clean the rear housing next before I change the gears to more highway friendly ones.

Took her for a spin up to San Francisco for some errands and set up an appointment to have disc brakes installed on her.
