What did you get done on your Stang today????

Washed the 69 (gotta have that primer sparkle!) and been driving it everyday since the weather has been dry. Took the shaker off and tightened some stuff on the carb, replaced the belt. Gonna drive it out to a local Shelby Mustang club show today.

On the 65, I finally finished the welding on the roll bar. My retired body guy has found his way back to my shop and is slowly progressing on the body work. Body work is officially done, next week we start wet sanding and sealing. Probably be August before any actual color goes on but at least we are moving forward.

Gotta late start to the Ford show today... Potty training my son so it was a no go till he went... :sm_TMI Weather was looking questionable but took the trip anyways. Nice 50 mile ride there and as we were pulling in, there was a line of cars pulling out. Storm was heading that way quickly. We stayed about a half hour and headed back as the rain drops started. Luckily home was the opposite way of the storm. Was nice to take the old girl on a 100 mile cruise. Only grabbed one pic...

Finally drilled the holes in my shock towers to lower the upper control arms. Followed by a test fit of said control arms. I got this fuzzy feeling inside.... it's been over two years since anything has been bolted to my car with the exception of the export brace. They have to come back off though. Lots of work to go before I start reassembling.

I got some steel line bent up for the fuel lines.
Ran a bit short on the second line so I need to pick up a few more feet.

It turned out pretty good for my first attempt. I just need to tweak it a bit.

Sacrificed my LAST can of R12 Freon today. Paid $1.49 for it in 1985.... :(

A/C is now COLD instead of 70*.

Bob, I have one last can on the shelf with hose kit. It was from NAPA back in the day. Still in the original box. Buy it and you get your helmet back also.

And your offer is?

Took the Mustang for a spin...

Painted the girls front bumper cover again. Issue with the paint peeling so it had to be stripped and redone. Hope it's the last time! Oh, she has ordered a hide away motorized tag thing that hooks up to the key. Folds up when the key is on and is neat since Virginia requires a front tag and they road check all the time just below the house. While into the painting redone a quarter on the TT Fastback. It had a thin spot and you could see a little primer showing when the light was right. Both came out pretty good...

Remove the AC Compressor, it developed a vibration that got worse during the Power Tour. Classic Auto Air said they would upgrade my compressor to a 7 piston from a 5 piston unit. I will drive it over to CCA tomorrow. Nice that they are local.

I scored one of these...

Anybody know what it is... :hmm

Never thought I'd see the day when I paid for one instead of throwing it in the trash. :hs

It's the silencer for the air filter. It supposedly cuts down on the air intake noise. It also helps seal the intake side of the filter housing so water doesn't get in from the outside of the apron (under the front wheel well). It's commonly removed to cut down air intake restriction (read-a few free cheap extra horses). Of course, you already knew all that!

...also known as the 1st part EVERYONE removes from a 5.0 Mustang and throws away!!! :thum :thum :thum
