Got the 65 in sealer. So close to throwing down some color! I'll add pictures this afternoon.

Been a long time coming, congrats!!

I bought a set of 2000 Cobra R chrome wheels (replica) at a swap meet for $80! two of the rims are damaged beyond repair but the tires look okay and have about 75% tread left. I stuck two on just to see how it will look. Now I need to find two more wheels. They are 18x9"

Put in brand new Headlight harness and alt harness. Then had the battery charged and got her back up and running. The wiring fixed all issues with dim lights, blinkers not working when the lights were on, and various other little issues

Now you're bored with nothing to do? LOL

I had to put 60-series tires on the back (can't get 245-50s for 15s anymore), but they raised the car too much - not the look I was after. So I installed lowering blocks in back. There's still a little bit of rake, and the tires tuck real nice. Very tight in couple spots, so I will probably need to trim the lips before I take bumpy roads at high speed. But slow axle articulations (driveways, etc) there hasn't been any rubbing yet.

Friends don't let friends run incorrect plates! During my non-op years, original plates dropped out of the system. Still thinking up something catchy for the vanity, then I'll get my color back.

Finally got the many projects done to the point where I thought I'd take the 66 out on its maiden voyage in Ames. Drove it to the Ford dealer and hung out with a couple sales guys & mechanics. Found out one of the mechanics has a 65 K code Coupe. I hope I can catch him out with it one day! Too much fun, but didn't take any pics, but since it's a rule...here it is back in the packed garage.

This weekend, KBMWRS and I drove our rigs to Pismo Beach, CA adding almost 500 miles to our odometers, while Crustycurmudgeon probably doubled that driving to Los Angeles and back.

Tapayakin' from my iphone

You guys are either brave or :cens for driving those down on the beach. I learned a long time ago to only venture onto the sand with 4-wheel drive vehicles. Not to mention the fine sandblasting you get if the wind is blowing.

Great picture, sorry I missed this trip....sooner or later I will be tagging along.

we didn't drive on the beach. This pic is about 500 feet above sea level on a curve of the road. That is just dWrt/gravel not sand. We're not THAT nuts.

Huh? How can black Cali plates be incorrect? What were your originals? pink? :yah

Well, its been a long 5 years since it came off the road, but this weekend the stang took the trip from the black & white of Kansas to the Technicolor land of Oz.

Probably the closest picture to the truc color, but still doesn't do it justice.

You can see yourself in it. Yep, that a Stangfix shirt.

Interior will be Parchment

Is that Candy Apple Red?

Are you going to leave the interior door color red?

It's a 2004 Ford color, Dark Toredor Red. Yes, the interior of the doors will be red with Parchment panels.

Ordered new intake manifold gaskets, grade 8 fasteners and Gaskacinch via Amazon, as I am reseating the intake manifold this weekend to address a slightly annoying vacuum leak coming from the passenger head to intake manifold mating surface...
