What did you get done on your Stang today????

Lets see. Today I removed the e-nose and wrapped it back up and tucked it away safely in the garage until it's time to put it on for good. I'm not going to mess with it until I get all the lights for it and have a new hood to go with it. Started putting back the stock front back on then I remembered I needed to work on my '03 GT today.

I replaced the multifunction switch in it. Took me a bit to get that stupid ignition cylinder out but I got it. With that out of the way, was able to remove the column covers and swap out the switch with a new one. Got it all back together and ta-da... I have wipers that work on all speeds now AND I have working fog lights. :pbj

:yah Congrats bet that's how you felt when you got it done.
 
The car finally hit the road today! While we still have some interior parts to finish, and all the little details, Mom determined all the safety aspects are OK and the boy took it on a solo tour today. I am one nervous father! 2-1/2 years worth of work is nearing completion. The boy is ecstatic.

Very sharp... The rear valance looks great with the backup lights shaved. Looks sinister without the window trim or is it blacked out?

Stupid question, but what does one do with the backup lights when you shave the valance. I like the look myself, but like the practicality of backup lights.

Wife and I drove Red to the coast (that's the ocean for you KS & TX landlock poor soles) for some great clam chowder and lobster roll.

Afterwards Red and I went down to KBMWRS's house to help work on his automatic choke setup.

You might want to look at a map or satellite photo. I'm pretty sure Texas has a coast.

It still needs all the window trim pieces. I do like the blacked out look and if the chrome doesn't look good we may powder coat it all black.

On mine I moved the license plate down about an inch and mounted a LED bar between the plate and bumper. It's not too bright but gets me through the safety inspection. I plan to mount a hideaway backup light that flips down from behind the valance when reverse is engaged.

Today I finally got my front parking light bezels installed. I painted them a couple months back as I forgot to drop them off to the painter when the car was painted 4 years ago. Also pre fitted a shroeder front sway bar that I'll need to rework to fit. I also mounted a suspension cam to see how my front suspension works. I hoped for 10-15 minutes of video but only got about 3 minutes for some reason.
I put new fabricated valve covers on a few weeks ago and an intake spacer. After about 15 minutes of driving, I smelled oil burning on the passenger header. I'm hoping the valve covers just need to be tightened up a little more. 2 steps forward, 1 step back... At least I got to drive it since the roads don't have any snow, salt or even much sand on them...

Yeppers...306 Ford crate motor with a pieced together EFI system based on a 93 Mustang Cobra system. Please excuse the old Ford distributor, after more than a month struggling to get the EFI to run right we determined it was the fancy MSD billet distributor that was the problem. It runs great and now I am glad we went EFI. I am ready to do another one!

Pat - if you need any help/advice on putting together your EFI system let me know.

I'm pretty much just down to needing to finish the fuel lines and a few small odds and ends then I can try to fire the motor and see what doesn't work.

Make sure you install a check engine light and do the "key on engine off" test before you fire it the first time. It will tell you if your sensors are all working!

Yeah you're right, I forgot about the bottom dwelling coast.
