It runs great and now I am glad we went EFI. I am ready to do another one!

Looking good!! I know what ya mean about the efi. I love my efi. Getting it tuned properly can be a little tricky, if you start throwing alot of aftermarket parts in it.

I have been busting my butt the last few weeks working on the 65. Tore the entire suspension and steering linkages out. Ordered new 4.5 mid eye leaf springs, roller spring perches, 620 springs, shackles and 1" sway bar from Opentracker. Also got new steering and controll arms locally. Modified the upper to accept grease better, centered and locked the nuts. Got all the steering and suspension parts put on except for new shocks. Ordered some new KYB's today. Really wanted to go Bilistin but it was not in the budget right now. The car also already had a T-5 installed by the previous owner with the original bellhousing and Z-bar type set up. Tore that out and installed a late model bellhousing and new hydraulic clutch from parts from Daze. New Hurst short throw shifter arrived today. Also went and purchased a new Master Cylinder for a 85 Lincoln Towncar today to replace the single jelly jar master. I will also be ordering new Cobra brake brackets from Street or Track soon to install the calipers and rotors I already have.

It seems to be running pretty darn good at this point. Once it gets fully broken in I may take it to a local shop to have it dyno tuned. All of the parts are aftermarket, and I truly lucked out that they work together so well.

I strongly recommend some milder shocks to go with springs that stiff. The combo you're putting together is pretty close to what I've got on my '65 fb and my experience is that it is way too stiff for road use. If yours is a track car, then fine, but I hate mine for daily use. Ask Opentracker himself; I would expect him to counsel against such high rate springs and KYBs for the street. I am definitely changing out the springs and probably the shocks too. I've been out of the loop for four years, so I don't know what's the hot ticket today. But Bilstein would not be a bad choice, and good old parts counter hydraulic Monroes are a good budget choice.

I think it depends on which KYB's you use, there are 2 -the standard GR-2 gas shocks and the HD gas-a-justs which are stiffer. It seems to be a personal preference as many like both but probably also dependent on which springs they pair them up with, suspension setup (roller perches, etc.).

Bye bye Gertrude! Off to the shop to get fixed! Her front end is so out of whack since I replaced all the suspension. She was riding sideways! :hide

Nothing. The Dr. said no heavy lifting for 2 days while my finger heals. So tomorrow, I can start back on the new rear housing for Frank.

I helped the UPS man carry my new set of NT-01 track tires into the garage. The guy actually remembered bringing the last set of RS-3's last fall and asked if they had worn out already! I showed him the corded front right tire for proof they didn't last long.

check your warranty card on those RS-3's. they shouldn't wear out that fast sitting on jackstands....

Not the Stang, but put some new to me (used) wheels on my daily beater.

I think I have studded snow tires mounted on those same wheels for SWMBO's Fucos!

With the help of my daughters (16+18), I got the hood on the car. For the first time in 6 years the car has all it's sheetmetal in place. The pics are a litle dark but so's my garage lol.
