What did you get done on your Stang today????

That's basically what I did when I did Red's package tray. Some kind of masonite then covered it with black vinyl.

A couple of weeks ago I did get almost all the old paint off the new door. We got a fluke of a 60 deg day and I hit it with aircraft stripper and the pressure washer. Put the must for rust on it after a light sanding and was good to go. With the weather breaking I'll see about finishing it this weekend.

Drove back from Connecticut with a load of parts...a fastback roof, a trunk lid, both door glasses, and a fastback rear window glass. Two interior metal trims (ceiling Panels), and the three fiberglass surrounds. All for a whopping 500.00...dont call the cops just yet. The hood has a bunch of rust and was not cut well at all. May need a roof skin? Oh well, my search for a fastback roof is done, let the games begin.

If your doing a conversion, strip the roof skin and you can attach the entire structure just like Ford did originally. The dynacorn roof is a nice piece.

I DROVE mine today. it was only around the block, but was quick enough to learn that the fuel sending unit still isn't working right & my dash lights are out again (the light in the key switch works in park light mode though)... thought I had those fixed when I put the new headlight switch in a couple yrs ago.

Got the new wiper motor and the delay switch installed. Thought it would take 3 hours and it took 8. Wound up taking the dash all apart to get to the motor bracket.

Took today off to finish up on some repairs to the driver side door and crappy repro hinges. I hope to have the door back on tomorrow as the weekend weather is supposed to be pretty good here.

Pulled a fuel filler neck out of an 84 Grand Marquis as I ready to transplant its fuel unleaded restrictor plate to my extra filler neck...
Stay tuned...

Started stripping the driver seat of upholstery. Sanded and painted the lower springs and frame. Just got back from the fabric shop with 12 yards of burlap.

Here's the burlap I used, supplied by the infamous beach pony.
