Like the thread where we learned fastbacks rule the roost at the the Fix, this thread wants to know what generation mustang inhabits your garage. Again, only one vote per member, so if you have multiple stangs, use it to show support for your favorite car.

I need another vote! I have a 67 as well!

I would love to build a shop and have one of each gen, even the Mustang II.

I didn't see a place to vote for my '79...O' wait, that's not a Mustang, LOL!

Horseplay you may want to change the title of this thread because all of the dates you listed are actually the 1st generation of the Mustang.
The other generations are: 2nd Gen. 1974/1978, 3rd Gen. 1979/1993, 4th Gen. 1994/2004, 5th Gen. 2005 to present.

I disagree as it stipulates "classic" mustang, which most everyone understands would be the years listed. Traditionally, the early classics are divided into "generations" as represented in the poll. I had thought about including the more modern era cars in the poll but decided against it as the majority of members here are "classic owners first" even if they have late model mustangs.

Ok, it is your thread. I think we all know what you mean although Ford Motor wouldn't. I voted for my year/generation in my last post.

I also own a 5th Gen. or S197 Mustang, I would still vote for the 67-68 generation as that is my favorite one.

We need to pity the poor 71-73 Mustangs...they simply don't get much respect.

Yeah, but the '71 Boss 351 can whip just about all our asses, so that's their claim to fame.

As far as the ride, the 71-73 simply has them all beat and the Boss 351 is king of the quarter mile (stock). My vote went to the 67-8's though as they are my favorate years.

Ford got it right in 69-70, all the other years were just practicing. :pbj :nut 71-73 can't say what happen there, wasn't one of the head honchos hired from Guberment Motors.

Another badly designed poll. I have two 68s and a 71. Also, those are all first generation Mustangs. In the past, I have seen the first generation divided into senior (65-68) and junior classes (69-73). But, never have I seen the first generation broken down into additional "generations."

It's a word folks...relax. If you had a problem with the way the years were broken apart I could see a reason for debate. We had some fun with the body style poll and it was suggested we do something similar with model years. You guys sound like a bunch of coupe owners! :roll
