Wheel rubbing in front, backspace issue?

Have you rolled the inner fender lips already? That's virtually a no cost modification... The worst that could happen is you chip the paint doing so, but considering your bodywork skills, I'd think that would be something to hold you back. Some folks have been successful doing that without damaging the paint... I like it just to avoid the sharp edges of the fender gouging up the tires should it still make contact.

Rolling the fender lip is an option, but in my opinion should only be considered as a last resort. Why roll perfectly good fender lips in order to fit wheels with 3" of back space? Once the correct wheels are installed, "un-rolling" the fender lips is near impossible.

Dave, I agree the wheels are the best way to go... however, rolling the fenders is not really a visible modification. Where cost seems to be the factor, rolling the fenders seems to be a suitable no/low cost option. Me personally, I'd rather have rolled fenders than worry about cutting up good new tires until I could afford the right rims.

Another redneck bandaid might be to glue on some of that black plastic door edge guard to the fender lip... it may not last long, but might save a few tire cuts...
