Wheel size requirements to fit a '68 with disc brakes?

Does anyone know the specifics for wheels to fit on a '68 mustang with stock disc brakes? I have a set of reproduction '66 shelby 10 spokes and I'm having a hard time trying to figure if they will fit a '68. Can give specific measurements on the '66 wheels if needed.... they are the 14x6 style.

I do not know the "specifics" if you are referring to back spacing, however I do know that 67 style steel wheel that is 14 x5.5 will not fit on a 68 with disc brakes. The 68 style steel rim is 14 x 6 and works just fine.

The 68 GT/CS that we had was equipped with disc brakes, and I remember that not all of the rims we had would fit, the caliper would rub the rim.

Charles, I have an original steel rim that fits the front of a 68 with disc and can give you measurements. I can also supply (I believe) specs on the wheels I'm using on Shag.

Thanks for the replies. Here are the specifics on the wheels I have:

14X6 WHEEL
4 1/8 BACKSET
+5.38 MM OFFSET AND 5 BY 4.5 BOLT CIRCLE
WHEEL CENTER BORE IS 2.890

Charles having what I believe are original 68 front wheels in storage, I measured and get

14x6
4" BS
4.5" bolt circle
+12mm offset
2 - 3/8" bore which I am noting as being the opening that slides over the front hub's snout.

Thanks Craig. So, looks like the offset is the biggest difference. I can't say I'm very well versed in this subject, but given the difference between the numbers I gave and yours, is that an indicator that the '66 wheels will not fit?

Charles,
I really don't know if a 7mm difference is going to create an issue or not. I like you am not THAT in tuned with this type
of problem, if it is one. Hope someone will chime in and help clarify matters for us.
