Which GPS?

I have a garmin too. Works great for me.

My wife's Jeep has a factory nav and she won't use it, so she even Prefers the Garmin too.

Craig, I have answered many of these type of threads on about four different forums. So here goes again. Some of you will disagree, but I am cool with it...to each their own.

I have two trains of thought, Craig....

1- Give her the same one you have so you can help her without a learning curve.

2- Get her a TomTom. Why? Well, You know I drive for a living now. I use the TomTom and have used all the others from time to time and keep going back. why? It is easy to use, has Online map updates, a users group forum to get other cool things like celeb voices. Mine is Clint Eastwood. Also it is more durable and on the bus things get beat up. It has lasted way longer than my associates Garmins and other brands. Also I can download points of interest from the site. They are also less expensive than the others.

They are all good and this is where personal choice comes in. When I put one in Amber's car, she wants it built in, so I will have to learn a new way to do things. She will just have to read the manual.

So, I didn't read the rest of the thread, because I wanted to tell you what I thought without getting defensive when people trash talk TomToms. They are good. Use them all with a bit of common sense though, if it tells you to turn right and there is a dirt road there or Nothing at all, you should not blindly follow the darn thing.

Hope this helps you out Craig.

Mel
