Which steering parts?

Need some expert advice gentlemen, but its Sunday and all the experts are off so I came here. :hide Putting together the steering parts for the Stang and I'm confused. Important info

66
I6 Motor
Upgraded the front brakes to 71 Disk
Manual Steering

I was told when I picked up the brakes I would need larger tire rods due to the larger spindles on the 71 brakes. I assume that means 66 V8 tire rods. Can The rest be upgraded to V8 parts as well? I assume they are different since they sell them separately. Or should I keep everything 6 cyl parts except the outer tire rod? Thanks in advance.

I think that the only difference in a V8 versus L6 steering setup , are the steeringbox ratio and outer tierods is.

A catalog will reveale alot of information by comparing parts V8 versus L6.

IMHO.

ps I am NOT an expert.

Brian, the 67+ tie rod ends are bigger than the the 65/66 V8 ones and MUCH bigger than the 6 cyl ones! Are you going to 5 lug?

Sure am John. So if They are that much bigger, Should I go with a 6 cyl set up with, say, 67 outer tire rod ends?

I don't think any of the the 6 cyl stuff will work for ya Brian. The drag link, idler, tie rods (inner and outer),even the adjustment sleeves are all different than a V8. I'm not 100% sure, but the pitman arm on the steering box may be different also. The only thing that I'm sure is the same are the strut rods, sway bar, and upper/lower control arms.
