We run into that in the Houston area. Two people can say they live in the Houston area and still be 45 min - 1 hour apart because it's so spread out.

Doesn't the "Houston area" stretch all the way to New Orleans?

Close but not that far...there is a stretch of backwoods East Texas no mans land between Houston and N.O.

But Sluggo and I both live "in the Houston area" and we still live probably a good hour apart without traffic. With traffic...pack a lunch. He's extreme south and I am on the extreme north up in The Woodlands...

Hey Sluggo - down south where? I go to a plant we have on the ship channel[nb]Not the one that keeps blowing up i hope...[/nb] (Pasadena address).

I'm in Sugar Land. SW of Houston. About 30 minutes from the ship channel. Take the beltway to 59 south and then about ten minutes south on 59.
