Winter really sucks

6 miles to paved roads one way and 3 1/2 miles the other. That's just the way it is out here in the boonies!

Other than less street driving, I like it that way. I could be a serial killer and bury the bodies out here and no one would be the wiser :hide

He is in hiding from the PT's..................they heard he buried the last one he could not pass. :yikes

I thought he robbed the drive train from that pink PT, and now its currently under the hood of the 66 trailer queen. :gobp

Actually I'm thinking of installing that V12 427 over the winter!

You need another set of wheels/tires for some street driving. I took mine out last night, it was 40 degrees and it ran like a scalded ape! I'll drive it right up to when the salt comes out.

Ditto that. Took mine out for a spin yesterday too! And I was "testing" out the GO roller perches too. What a fun drive... :cool

Mark, I've got 2 14" Sears snow tires I'd be willing to part with, let me know...

I have tires..................no HEATER and not even remotely airtight. Since it spends 95% of it's life at the track, I'm not inclined to change that. Now, if someone wants to come and pave 3 1/2 miles of gravel road, I would re-think the whole situation.

What have you got going on all Winter? That road ain't going to pave itself... get busy!

Rod probably wont be doing much during the winter months, you could always concrete it... Just sayin, you really only need two strips wide enough for your tires.....

The only thing that's stopping me is $$$$$$, now if someone is feeling benevolent..........

Yes....Muenster please, can't seem to find any out here in flyover country.

Alright, lets see. 3.5 miles X 5,280 feet X 12 inches wide X .33 or 4 inches deep = 225.87 cubic yards of concrete X 2 =451.73 cubic yards. Now there Mark, you could pave 2 strips of concrete, 1 foot wide and 4 inches deep for only 452 yards of concrete. At about 95.00 dollars a yard, you could get the short side done for only 42,940.00. So, write the check and get busy! Better wait til next year to do the 6 mile side.

Make it 2 inches thick and cut that price in half. Theres not going to be that much weight on it, you know since your car does not have full windows and all.
