Wiring help on 66

I put an oil pressure and temp gauge and will be adding a Tach on my 66 project. My temp gauge is autometer and needs a keyed on hot wire. Where is a good source for that? Also what can I use for the dash lights for the gauges? I know my 67 inside and out but the 66 is a little different. 476030315_10227993578930395_8355193722298415602_n.jpg

Been a while and I made my own harness anyway so I can't speak to the stock wiring without pulling out the old wiring stuff. It is all very primitive for the most part anyway. The ignition switch will have multiple posts on it, one being hot when the key is in the "On" position. What I would do is take a wire from there to a stand alone post you can buy just about anywhere and use that as the source for all your "key'd on" power. In my car, I used that wire to power a solid state relay which in turn fed straight battery power to said post. That way any draw goes through that instead of the ignition switch post. Then you can run your own fused circuits to whatever you desire. It actually makes things cleaner and easier to trouble shoot should the need ever arise. Best part is this allows you to put everything remote so you're not having to lie across the damn sill plate and try and stick your neck up under the dash.

Dash lights come off the headlight switch as I remember. Has that dimmer function too (at least I think the original did). I replaced the old bulbs with LED types which are a lot brighter.

Dash lamps can be had through a 3 prong connector located near the ignition switch, and is usually red in color. Wire color is blue/red.
Run-only line is only found on the red/green wire coming from the ignition switch, which usually mates with the infamous pink resistor wire.
