Worldwide new car glut

53 yr old body, 17 yr old mind, 48 yr old Mustang, 14 yr old F250, 11 month old Escape and a 4 month old snow blower.

Almost balances out.
I balance out pretty well, 13 escape--13 f150--05 must. conv, 91 must. conv.--73 mustang--and 14 lawn mower,lol(--I think todays vehicles as a whole run more miles than say 80's-to 90's cars but when they break the repair bills are much higher--a lot of semi's have "million mile" engines in them-it is not uncommon for them to run a million miles.

I can't imagine how so many cars are stockpiled...the economy is so roaring along. I wonder if it's across the board high stock or just the big 2 government motor companies?

GM took the bail-out. I heard they paid it all back...but no doubt a large portion was forgiven. Need to know the truth before we go further on that.

Who is the other government motors? Chrysler? I'm sure Fiat paid back the buy out...again lets find the truth or we'll be labeled Fox News.

Here you go. Best simple summary I could find.

Government Motors stuck us for over $10 billion in the end. Yes, that was an intentional pun.

If that was a simple summary, I'd hate to see a complex one! I freely admit that I'm no Einstein when it comes to math, but the various figures that were cited simply didn't add up to the totals quoted. I also checked out one of the linked articles in the text. As with the original post there sure seemed to be a lot of conflicting info! Bottom line summary of all of it? We (the country), got screwed. Just how badly? The world may never know! :rant

Yeah, but the cool thing...is if you watch the MSM, NPR, PMSNBC and CNN, it's all good and the economy is steaming along (like the Titanic).
