You can use any regulator you want. If the pump puts out less than 8 gallons/hour, you can get by without one. Yes, the pump should be a pusher and mounted as close to the tank as possible.
 
What wiring harness and regulator do i need?

There's no bolt-in wiring harness that I'm aware of..... you'll have to run a switched 12V power wire back to the pump. You can pull the drivers side door sill plate and fish a new wire following the same route as the wiring for the tail-lights. The pump can be grounded at it's point of installation with a short piece of wire.

An option for 12V switched would be the POS terminal on the COIL as it'll only have power to it when the key is turned to the RUN position.
