You creeps are the first to get access to the online store. I'm only making items available that are new and/or out of the ordinary. I'll add more items as time goes by. For now, only PayPal is the accepted form of payment. Mostly dog items for now, I'll add cat, rabbit and bird stuff later. For those of you that might want products for hamsters or gerbils, well...you're :homo and there's no hope for you.

J/K

http://4pawsnatale.com/ will get you there. If ANYONE gets blocked by any firewall or anti-virus software, please let me know. Currently Trend Micro will not allow access for those working on Gov computers. (Deb cannot access through her work).

Looking good Mark.

Let us know when you add rabbit related items...need something to keep the boys' rabbit busy. He's always chewing on something and if you don't find him something he's allowed to chew on then he gets in trouble. He's already chewed several things he's not supposed to chew on like several lap top cords, a cell phone charger, etc.

Good start into the ecom world.

Why do you have all your links coded to not use a www?

You cart where you collect information like name and address is not a HTTPS....even though you are using paypal HTTPS you should consider making the data collection part of your cart secure.

You have little to no meta tag information on the page making it search engine friendly and given the competitive market for pet supplies you should consider adding.

T&C have no content ;) http://4pawsnatale.com/xcart/pages.php?pageid=3
Privacy Statement has no content ;) http://4pawsnatale.com/xcart/pages.php?pageid=4
About us has no content ;) http://4pawsnatale.com/xcart/pages.php?pageid=2

Now just blow out your product selection, add in a drop shipper, and take over the world ;)

You just gave him a migraine. :Mark

The editor he used probably defaulted to dynamic links for content that was within the home directory. He would have to override this and use static links.

HTTPS - Keep your customer information from being intercepted when they type it into your forms and click submit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Secure

T&C - terms and conditions. This is a content area on your site linked to by the navigation which appears to be a stock template in the ecom package your setup that you did not update the content on.

Meta data - catch all term that includes content in the code of your pages that places like Google use to help index you site and get you more hits from searches on the web http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metadata

Congratulations Mark. I know what a massive undertaking this is. Not sure who your web hoster is but http://www.ewdhosting.com/ is exceptional and really knows what makes x-cart tick. They have hosted my site for many years after the previous generic place screwed things up regularly.

You can buy a SSL cert for as little as $49 per year. Savvy shoppers like Nick like to know their data is secure. EWD install mine for free when I buy it through them.

When you get more and more products online and want to mass-update pricing, get familiar withvVlookup in Excel. I can help you with this formula if you need it. Makes updating pricing and changing product details a lot quicker than going one by one through the x-cart admin page.

I have a lava and wood chew toy and big branch bites (look like small tree branch pieces). I'll add them today along with some cat toys!

Agree, just having a little fun with it. All ideas and criticisms are welcomed, they help me learn and improve! FYI, criticisms of the ears, is useless though...can't change them :Mark

Hey Mark, the doggie goody box came yesterday. Thank You. The dogs love their new chews.

Mustang Sally got the antler and has yet to surrender it. Will be ordering some bigger ones for the boys.

Mark...just ordered some stuff from you for the Rabbit (aka Rex the Rabbit).

I'd buy a dog collar but the boys have gotten into making paracord items and just made our dog a new collar.

Apparently, paracord stuff is big with the kids in general right now but the ball players in particular. I've been shocked at what they've made selling bracelets and necklaces made out of paracord....now they are branching out and experimenting with key chains, dog collars, leashes, etc.
