Anyone heard of a 1970-71 GT40 road car?

I know they made 7 of them in 67-68, but never heard of anything later. My buddy in Florida met a guy from England that supposedly just inherited one after the death of his father. He's bringing it state side to sell. No pics yet.
 
Hopefully, the guys British accent was so heavy, my redneck buddy misunderstood the year!

Of course, back then it would have taken a year to get one shipped overseas.....So who knows.
