Anyone heard of a 1970-71 GT40 road car?

I know they made 7 of them in 67-68, but never heard of anything later. My buddy in Florida met a guy from England that supposedly just inherited one after the death of his father. He's bringing it state side to sell. No pics yet.

I rmember that GTs WERE continued as a street version from a British source.
