    Thanks guys.
Manboy was driving with girlfriend executing a turn and the other guy in a truck (who did not have a drivers license!!!) side swiped him, not paying attention.
They were shook up but both ok.
Police just cited the other guy for no license, said there is no way to find out who was at fault because there were no other witnesses.
Cop said they need someone other than vehicle occupants that witnessed the accident.
So I guess I’m going to eat this one.

it will be ok. The car can be fixed and the occupants are ok. You can't take it with you.

Oh man that sucks. Why does no one own up to their mistakes anymore.

I bumped into someone a few months back at a light. Minor dent in her minivan. I called my insurance company told them what happened and didn't try make it her fault. The agent was amazed that I didn't make up some lame story and said no one ever just owns up to a mistake.

I have a dash cam in my cars now for just such reasons.

umm...bondo and spray foam does wonders!

Hate to see that level of damage to any car, hopefully the other guy will have to pay.

I have seen a couple of fenders and doors, I also found a couple of 70 coupe junkyard prospects but I don’t know if the quarter panels are the same, or at least, the lower part of the quarter panel from the rear quarter window down.
I’m going to need the wheel house as well.
Any ideas as the the quarter panel interchangeability between coupe and Sportsroof from b pillar to rear taillight panel excluding the c pillar rear window part, I don’t really want to get into that, it’s a lot more work and it’s undamaged by the wreck.
    Thanks in advance.

I would start by cutting off that quarter skin and assessing what all behind it needs work/replacement. You obviously need a B-pillar and likely a fair amount more of the "behind-the-scenes" structural metal work. Depending on what you find it might make more sense to go one way or the other with repair metal, either repro or sectioned out of a usable junker.

Sportsroof quarters are NOT interchangeable with coupe or convertible quarters. Wheel houses are.

So the adjuster cane out and said the car is a total loss.
They will give us $$$ but it will have the stigma of a salvage title with it.
I can reject the claim altogether and just fix it with my own $$$.
    What to do?
Can I fight the total loss that the insurance company came up with?
I will never sell it so a salvage title would not be an issue to me.

Take the money and keep the car and fix it.

Not like there are options here. Take what they will give you, retain ownership of the car and fix it. You can't fight them on it as their verdict seems legit. No way the car is worth what it would cost to have repaired based on how it sat when damaged (judging by that pic). Shop rates to fix that extent/level of damage would be crazy high. If you have the skills to fix it be thankful for that, I guess, but I know who else I would be making do all kinds of labor on the project.
