Needing to get a new shop jack. What are you all using? (brand, weight capacity, aluminum/steel)
Looking for jacking a small car, an SUV and my Mustang in the near future. Not all at once, of course.......

I have a cinder block that I lay a 2x4 across for the car. If I need the extra weight capacity I have a 4" steel pipe that I use instead of the 2x4.

Lol I have an old Aluminum Craftsman jack. I think it's like 2 tons capacity. I've had it for years, no issues other than the side handles and wheels need tightened up occasionally.

I have a 6000 lb capacity jack I bought years ago at Costco and an aluminum floor jack I got at harbor freight. I think the alum one is 4000 lb.

Oh...I thought you meant shock jocks, not shop jacks.

I've got a number of floor jacks but the two I use most are a blue aluminum 1.5 ton from Harbor Freight and the other is also from there rated at 3 ton in a low profile design. No issues with either and have been using them for a LONG, LONG time. I see no reason to get spendy beyond theirs based on my experience.

Just the jacks. Relax. Oh, and I've burned up a couple of their cheap heat guns too. And an air hose or three may have been burst. Used one of their $20 spray guns to spray adhesives as well. Pretty much have used a lot of HF stuff for disposable type duties. I will even admit I have a Pittsburgh torque wrench I bought after reading some surprisingly good reviews. Use it for torquing lug nuts and such after finding it "clicked" just about as accurate as any other wrench I own.
