I was wondering how close that tornado was to you. Glad you're ok.Outside of Chicago. We, like the bulk of the country, have had what would be considered a very hot late summer weather streak so far this season. Temps here in the 90's for a couple weeks. We usually don't see those temps until the peak of summer in late July into August. Out west is even hotter. Sent the wife on vacation to visit my son and family in AZ last week and the temps were in the 115-118 F range all week. We finally got a reprieve a couple days ago when a weather front moved in and dropped a wee bit of rain. And a tornado. Missed my place by less than a half mile. Did some damage and made national news even. Quite a year so far!
