I think a timing chain broke... started blinking the CEL, running bad, ticking and then no power before it just shut off. Now when I crank it, clearly has no compression. Spins over with no resistance. Doesn't even have 100K on it yet. I guess it's time for a V8 swap...

I'm back! I have been busy but thought I would update you all on the 07. I pulled the engine and took it apart. The parts store harmonic balancer that I put on after the OEM one came apart, failed big time. It actually broke at the crank. this broke the lower sprocket and which in turn bent all the valves and broke off a couple. Motor is trash!

so I am converting it to electric...

Wow. Been thinking of converting the 67 to EV. Not sure the parts exist though.

That takes recycling to a new level.

The 2012 "donor" is basically stripped. The 2012 HVAC made a clicking sound when ever I would start the car. The blend door actuator was the culprit. I removed it and took it apart. It has some stripped out gears. I'll replace that while it's apart. I have started laying the 12 wiring in the 07.

thanks for the compliments, I think! I do like to be different. I guess I am weird. But I hope it's all worth it!
