Re: '66FB GT Upgrade Build-Up
Car is running awesome... went to the Homestead Speedway drag event - http://www.stangfix.com/testforum/index.php/topic,6982.0.html - Though, I feel it needs overdrive on the highway. A friggin' Toyota Corolla passed me... I cannot let that happen... worse than a PT cruiser passing you on the track. :!! That will be the next big project... either a 4-speed top-loader with Gear Vendors overdrive unit or 5/6 speed. Anyone giving out grants/scholarships at Mustang Home School College?!
Some small to-do projects are:
- inline billet fuel filter
- battery in trunk
- fire extinguisher mounted to roll bar
- camera mount
- upgrade electrical system - add relays, soldering wires, organizing, remove extra apron solenoid
- drive-shaft loop
- C-A coil-over traction bars
- ponder on rebuilding/replacing dying (?) mini-starter - http://www.stangfix.com/testforum/index.php/topic,7085.0.html
- body work and aligning
- stitch welding engine bay stress areas.
- Most importantly, stop the valve cover, intake manifold, and oil pan bolts from loosening. Can I add thread-lock to the intake manifold and oil pan bolts? I did the valve cover bolts with green thread-lock to see what happens. Would it be wise to try the red colored thread-lock?
Advice/knowledge is appreciated.
