Broken motor. Ugh.

I've only ran it in the shop so far checking for leaks. Oh, and on and off the trailer for a show. Been to busy to go for a real drive yet. Sep 4th is the next track day so I'll break it in there!

I bought a new timing cover and it didn't come with a pointer so I just made that from some thin stock and painted it red. I used the MSD timing tape strips on the balancer.

Put on the street tires and took the old girl out for a spin tonight. Holy cow I love driving this thing! Little more giddyup than the old motor even though I didn't change any internals other than pistons, bearings and rings. Could be due to better compression maybe. No leaks found so far. Off to England Wednesday to visit family until the end of the month, then out at the track the 4th for a real ring seating session!
