Yesterday while Michael (KBMWRS) was over we started a test fit of the radiator and quickly discovered how crappy the reproduced lower radiator supports are. Not only was the lower support bracket itself incorrectly made not allowing it
to sit flush against the strut rod support, in the correct position to allow the mounting holes to line up, But the upper saddle was welded in the wrong position not aligning up with the radiator. As you can see in the pic, the saddle needs to rotate counter clockwise about 5-10 degrees so the right side of the saddle would be more parallel with the right edge of the support bracket or the radiator support itself.
So last night I drilled out the spot welds wit me trusty spot weld drill bit. First I'll modify the lower support bracket to fit properly against the strut rod support, then I'll rotate the saddles and spot weld them into position.
See my recent reply for an update.....
