IIRC all 390 '67's came with the rag joint and all Tilt Away equipped '67's came with a rag joint.EPAS notes an early and late 67 version. What determines such?

There were some non tilt with the rag joint as well. My 67 is an early model with the long solid shaft.IIRC all 390 '67's came with the rag joint and all Tilt Away equipped '67's came with a rag joint.
the kit I bought has a unit that is powered off the battery and has a key on wire so it only works when the key is on.I was looking at Boregeson also but that GM pump sitting in the engine bay just doesn't seem right.
Where does the Elect system get its power...wired to where?
That's the one thing I have noticed in many of the EPAS installs is that the motor unit doesn't fit up under out of sight as well as I would like. Lots of times that big ole honking set-up is just hanging down off the column waiting to smack your knee! I plan on an electric set-up in the F1 but will be making a custom lower dash panel to hide the workings. It's clean and quiet and unless you look under the dash you wouldn't know it had PS.
An electric assist set-up like an EPAS cannot affect caster. Its just a wart on the steering shaft. Has nothing to do with caster or camber or even toe. It has no mechanical connection that has bearing on any of that. A rack on the other hand certainly can.The problem I seem to have and epas agreed I remember I could not achieve caster greater then 3.5!! They said the more caster the better possibly up to 6 if you can. With the unisteer rack it wasn’t possible. They said it it better to probably stick with the gear box. But they did say the feel is different which I agree.
