I have messed with RC cars for years. I've had Nitro and Electric. The Nitro are way more fun, loud, and just pour more gas in and keep going. But electric are clean and less maintenance. Batteries are the disposable part. They have only so many charge cycles. Battery Tech has improved in the 30+ years I have been messing with them but still a big issue. Well a 1/10 scale issue anyway!
I think electric will have it's place but I suspect internal combustion will never fully go away.
