Mustang 50th Celebration - Las Vegas, StangFix Gathering

I am planning on attending. Depends if I can get my vacation that week or not. Will be driving down with the Mustang. Either with my club, DVMA or BAMA.

It was an easy choice for my wife. She loves slot machines and strippers. :cens

I may not drive one of the mustangs, but since I live 2 hours north how could I possibly miss this?

Parking is very good at Excalibur. They have nice large lots and it is free.

The track events will start April 16th, but I don't know what time. Haven't heard anything about a host hotel, but if there is, it probably will be Mandalay Bay.

Will try to make Charlotte. NOT as a MCA member.

You better be there, if you need an extra driver for one of the stallions in your corral let me know. O08)

All,

I can't wait for the 50th! I missed the 35th/40th, etc...but not this time. It's only 20 minutes from my house.

During the last Knott's gathering I discussed/bounced the idea off the California crew of me hosting a get together. It met with enough favorable views that I convinced SWMBO of it's merits.

Details will be forthcoming as we get closer, but plan on an informal BBQ get-together (at a minimum) for the StangFix faithful. Chew on which evening you think would be better; Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Cheers,

All the MGM properties are basically the host.

The speedway is about 20-25 mins. away from the strip. So, be prepared for some traffic. They are supposed to be anywhere from 6,000-8,000 Mustangs. Plus, the regular cars. Trying to get them parked will be fun.

I can't wait for what ever get together we have. I will be driving in on the days I can get off work early....It takes an hour to get ther, but the drive back is three hours.

If anyone wants to go to Zion or Snow canyon, I live close by and know the good places to eat and go. For instance there is an amazing Italian place where the chef makes everything from scratch. He is from Sicily and uses his mother's recipe.

There is a teak house here with fondue which is awesome and the steaks are brought out on a 1200 degree rock to finish cooking right in front of you. This way you always get a teak done the way you want.

I've always thought that 'teak' was a little too sandy for my taste.

I really need to get planning on this.

Is there a registration with MCA ready yet?

I'll be at your BBQ!

Is there a caravan to LV from the SF Bay Area?
