Mustang 50th Show Locations

So what dates are we talking about all being in Las Vegas?

I know its a week long deal but which weekend is the main deal?
 
The track events start on April 16th and it goes from there through Sunday, April 20th, which is Easter. I kind of think Thursday, April 17th might be a little special......

Easter is April 20th. Crap! There's no way I can take off and go now. I was all set to hit the charlotte party. It was supposed to be my 40th birthday present to go. The week before Easter is a black out for vacations for me. Too busy. These are the days I really hate being in retail!
 
I am going to Charlotte for the 50th. Already made my hotel reservation at the Homewood Suites.
Now to decide which Mustang to take?

Looking forward to the event.

why in the hell would Ford schedule these things for Easter weekend? I was hoping to get to Charlotte, but since I have to decide between Mustang and family, family wins no contest.

I understand they needed it to correspond as close as possible to the historical announcement date of the Mustang, but there is no way I could get there this weekend.

hope ya'll have fun and have a beer for me down there.

we have had some new budget issues again. Helping the oldest get rent and bringing the granddaughter down has tapped into my funds. We are going to bail on the idea of going to the 50th in order to keep our plans for the Power Tour. We have a 2nd car and driver this year so our fuel costs will double. Anyway, bummed but I have enjoyed having the granddaughter come and stay for a couple weeks. I will just have to enjoy the pics everyone posts up!

Was talking to Vince today and he, Glenn (MrGem) and I are trying to work something out for Charlotte.

I'll cast around to see if there's a Charlotte-specific thread to post in. So far, I've got hotel lined up. The event is only about three hours from Vince's place, so not a bad drive and the weather will hopefully be good 'vert weather if the '70 gets the nod.

Myself, I can't really afford all four days, so will likely do two. Right now it looks like Thurs/Fri or Fri/Sat and drive back to Vince's after Sat's events.
 
I'll be at Charlotte, hopefully with 2 cars, our club has the MORE program so i'll be somewhere just outside the entrance. We need to start a Charlotte check in thread with locations. Hopefully we'll be getting a spot number from MCA soon to post, said we were in the teens for spot location.

Hey Pat (camachinist)...since only 3 hours each way
to and from Fuquay-Varina, NC to Charlotte we can drive back
to my place...and leave again in the morning to avoid hotel bills.
70 vert should be good-to-go.

And...depending on travel plans for you and Mr.Gem, we can
have a gathering here at our place with any of the other
Stangfixers that may want to join in.

Does this sound like a party ????
 
I had planned Charlotte in the beginning but shortly after found out our second child was on the way... Due date of April 12th. If my wife delivers early again(month early on the first) I'm gonna try and make it for at least a day. Would really hate not being a part of this event!

I'm a little farther out, booked in November and this was the best I could find, 30mi. and 30 min. from the speedway:

I'll be staying at Comfort Suites, Northlake starting the 16th. I'm also in the MORE parking with that other Mustang forum, I think space 19.
