painting stripes

I forgot to mention that we also laid the stripes down after the red basecoat. Followed by clear coat.
 
I did mine the other way. Painted the center of the car (where the stripes will be) the base black. Then Mask off the stripes. Create edges with blue fine line, then paper & tape off the actual black area to remain as the stripe, then shoot the body color over the top of all the masked off stripe area.
