Well I finally did it. I had been dreading pulling the dash out of the 'stang for a while now, and I finally got a chance last weekend. It really wasn't that bad.
Started Saturday afternoon, finished up Sunday. Saturday was a real scorcher. Sunday was much better going in the garage, much cooler with a little breeze. Cranked up the local radio station, jammed to some Rush, Zeppelin, and Hendrix. Pulled everything - steering wheel, dash pad, instrument/clock panels, and lower metal dash. Looks kinda barren in there.
Now I just need to get the lower dash stripped & primed & painted... and I can do it all again in reverse. Of course, I'll need to put a new heater core in first, while everything's easy to get to. I don't want to make a habit of this...
