I haven't said anything until now but...I can't sign in and/or post using AOL. I have to go to Explorer or FireFox explorer to do what I used to be able to do on AOL. :shrug

Figured it out.
When I renamed the cookie, that change was reflected in the settings file.
Those of you that have the site bookmarked at it's real address stangfix.com/testforum2/ did not notice a problem. This is why I did not see it on my phone browser or tapatalk.
Those bookmarked at stangfix.com (the parent directory) were having the problem because I (ME, MY FAULT) did not copy the settings file to the parent directory. The setting file in the parent directory had a different cookie name in it and apparently we were experiencing a cookie collision.
Every time I make a change I overwrite the settings file. It did not even dawn on me to overwrite the file because the change was made from the admin area of the board and not a manual edit.

for eons and it's is still fubar'd.
I'll try saving the new bookmark as listed above and see if fixes it.
Edit: So I went back and tried the diff bookmark, it works just fine. Does not log me out anymore! Now it lands at: http://www.stangfix.com/testforum2/index.php?wwwRedirect

I can copy the settings file there too i guess.
Or, kill them both and make a directory called forum for the board then actually building a front end like the original plan.......

I changed my bookmark and all is OK now, no need to do any more work than needed Chief.
