we just got the car. We were delayed by weather, but I think it was nobama!
We are heading up the coast first, but we are planning on meeting up with rob in reeding, bill in sacramento. We will be staying around san fran on Friday.

Well today was not the best day.
Lost an hour and a half due to weather so we didn't get in the road until after 2. Drove over the golden gate and stopped for a few pics. Then headed up hwy 1.
Alaina started freaking out and screaming around stinson beach so we stopped for lunch. After lunch she wouldn't get back in the car and she was screaming and crying. Figured out that the trees being so close to her window must has been giving motion sickness. So we flipped her car seat around and hung a blanket in the window and we finally got back on the road, but by now we had lost so much time we only made it to bodega bay and found a hotel.
Oh yeah, we also hit a fox with the mustang. Oh joy.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your troubles. That's gonna make for a long day of driving Wednesday to make it to Redding.

Yup today is going to be a long one. We are trying to decide on a plan now. May not make it to redding.
It wasn't all bad. We did see air force one taxi in at sfo yesterday(of course it could have been the decoy plane) and the scenery was nice so far on the drive with very little traffic.
Moving on to day 2. Going to go see the house from the birds for the wife this morning then we will see were we end up.

Well that's a bummer that you might not make it inland to Redding....

We should be in SF on Friday. Planning on staying somewhat near the airport Friday night.
No idea what we are going to do in san fran on Friday yet. Any suggestions?
Wed we kept driving up the coast.
Alaina got to see the ocean for the first time. We went through the drive through tree. On the way to the hotel last night alaina was eating a banana in the car and gagged and threw up all over herself and Jen. What a day.
Heading to the avenue of the giants this morning then down to Sacramento today.

I work in SF and expect to be in the office most of the day on Friday. Depending on what and when, I may be available to say "hi" as well. gtscode works within a mile of me but I have no idea of his availabiity."cmayna" said:
