Let us know where you decide and when.
Maybe Jo and I can make it up there.

That would be great, we can rent a boat and go out on the bay.......... J/k
Lol.

The way this trip is going I am not sure anyone wants to be near us, you might get cursed or puked on.

You obviously have never been around that Kali group then!

We would love to get together with anyone.

Except us Reddingites. I guess up here we really are the red headed step children of northern California...

I swear we really did shower sometime this year!! =^)

Well when visiting others don't realize how big this state is.

The problem is how slow we are going and all the stops for alaina. Should have left her at home.

How is hwy 36 going across to redding? Is it twisty and slow or can we go 55mph?

My brother I and drove that road many times during college. Back then, it was very windy and some parts were still dirt. Tons of pot farms out in them hills. It would be far better to go 299 from Arcata over the hill.

Both roads are great....for motorcycles :roll :hide and tourists who think that roads are like at home...straight. :yah :yah :yah :thu

Take 299 though. 36 is paved though...not like in the 1800s when Craig 'trolled' the area.
Good luck on reaching your destinations.

Wasn't Craig part of the Donner Party?

So its time to fly home. The trip didn't turn out at all as scheduled. That couple hours we lost on the flight in really messed up our drive plan.

Wednesday night we stayed in garberville near humboldt. Holy pot heads Batman! The place was wall to wall stoned backpacking hippies. Yikes.

Thursday morning after spending an hour trying to get the smell of puke out of the car, we headed out to the avenue of the giants. Alaina got a cold so we stopped a lot for her. Being so behind schedule we decided no one could handle any more twisty turning roads so we headed south back to san fran. We got in late and found a hotel by the airport and crashed. Now Jen had caught alainas cold and was also sick.

Here's Jen saying I think I can climb this tree.

Changing diapers in the back seat of the mustang was fun.

Friday I let Jen sleep in. She was feeling pretty miserable. By about 2 she couldn't handle being cooped up anymore so she dragged herself up and we went down to pier 39.
Alaina was loving chasing all the pigeons around. We drove up I think Taylor st after leaving the pier. Had to try a crazy san Francisco hill. Left the pier about 530 and got stuck by a freak show on bikes for a good 20 - 30 minutes.
I'm guessing this is a haloween tradition? I expected to see Craig in his mankini in the parade but couldn't see him.

All in all we had a nice trip but things just didn't go as planned which was stressful. Next time we leave alaina home with grandma when we come out.
