Gotcha. If it was about $14, then that's the brand they sold you. If it was between $18-20 then you got a BWD brand. The Master Pro is their "house" brand and has a 1 yr warranty. The BWD's have a lifetime warranty. Not that a warranty means diddly if you get stuck along the road! The Motorcraft solenoid will run about $30, but it can generally be counted on to be a quality solenoid. The cheaper ones can burn the contacts inside pretty easily. When that happens either a) it won't turn over at all; or b) they fuse closed and the starter keeps turning (like in your case).

Ahh yeah the one I got was around $15 I think. I know it was less then $20 for sure.

Finally , got the right window regulator fixed of the fastback.
I took an old regulator and dissambled it to see how it was constructed.
After I ruined that regulator , I took the one from the fastback and professionaly dissambled it.!
Cleaned the internals , took the spring from the first regulator (as the one from the fastback was broken ) and mounted everything together.
Operates like new !!! Couldn't push down the side window anymore !!! 2 rivets and a spotweld are the spare parts !
I know pics !! Will paste some from the old regulator as I was in full concentration when performing this task I forgot to take pictures !!

My wife drew up the Cobra Jet for my quarters and got them ready for paint. I will post some pics after it is painted. I am making a 68 1/2 Cobra Jet Barn Find Nostalgia Drag Car to run at the Nostalgia drags.

here are the pics to proove I did something.
BTW if anybody has some old regulators laying around , PM me .I need a part from them.

Finished up refurbing the dash and console that were a "while I'm at it" associated with fixing some alternator wires. :confu

The boy took the fastback to his first car show today. No trophy, but very well received by the crowd. Made his day!

after the tranny was out (and all of the fluid mopped up off the floor) i started cleaning the engine bay up in prep for new paint & installed a couple more of the shock tower braces.

the progress stopped when i had to go help my boy clean his stuff out of his car. he decided to tangle with a 18 wheeler at 5:30 this morn on the way to work... he lost the battle..

Ouch!!! Hope he's okay.

I finished getting my coupe detailed and ready for the Utah National and then started on the trailer. I installed a new battery and then started getting some practice with my electric trailer dolly. It works great and I'm hoping tomorrow that it will do well enough to pull the trailer out into the street. It's just too tight to get it out with my F-250. There's less than 2 inches of clearance between the trailer roof and the house roof, plus I have to avoid a large transformer box that's next to my driveway. The last time I pulled it out with the truck, I actually started to lift the house roof, so no more of that!

+1! Looks like he's a victim of those "magic" brakes that some truck drivers think their rigs are equipped with. "Magic"? You know, the ones that let them follow right on the bumper of the car ahead and are able to "magically" stop their 40,000lb+ rig on a dime and not rear end anyone! Grrrrrr. A pet peeve of mine! :rant

yeah, he's o.k. actually he was a victim of the hard rain we were having. hit some standing water on the interstate, got sideways & the truck sheared off the rear.

glad he is okay Steve! Is it "totaled"? was it a 5 speed?

I may talk to you about the C4 for the drag car when I visit.

i think they will probably total it. 12 yrs old w/ 155k mi. v-6 5 speed. its not really as bad as it looks. would probably need a little frame time to pull the buckle out of the rear fender, but i've already found both bumper covers, deck lid w/ spoiler & the tailights for a total of $400. i may have him check & see what buyback is if they total it.
