I hobbled out to the garage and looked at the 66 sitting under its cover. It'll be a long time till I'm able to drive it again.

Finally move to a house that has paved roads and STILL can't take the damn thing out.
So that was an April Fools joke about you selling it. I knew it!

He's smarterer than the average blue hair!

I replaced my water pump and fixed my coolant leak. Of course, I had to add washers behind the power steering bracket because it was contacting the pump body near the attaching points. Then I had to space the pump itself back a bit from the bracket to line up the pulley again. Maybe I should have my old pump rebuilt for next time so I can put it all back to normal.

Getting ready for Vegas!

My Dad, Uncle, Granddad, Brother-In-Law and I were able to get the front suspension on, the rear end put back together, the drum brakes rebuilt, the rear suspension and rear end put back on the car, the e-brake put on, and started fitment of the tires. A long couple of days, but very pleased with the process.

Ive never seen a car be suported in the front that way before.

It appears to be a homemade wood rotisserie. I would think that they are pushing the upper limits of the wood now that they have all the suspension and tires on the car.

Correct you are! The wood rotisserie has served us well, but with the fitting of the suspension, we have supported it with 2 ton jacks in the rear under the rear axle and block under the front arms of the suspension. It'll be coming off the rotisserie as soon as I get the correct spacers and longer studs for the rims.

Brought the mustang to the new house today. It's been sitting at a shop for the last 3 weeks. Tucked it into the garage for now until I figure out what to do with it.

I haven't been able to follow closely for a while, how far along are you now? Have you started the motor?

Same as I was 2 years ago. Haven't done squat with it. Thinking of tearing out the efi and getting it set up for a carb or rebuilding my original engine.

This weekend I finally got around to swapping out master cylinders. It should have been a easy going from a dual bowl to a dual bowl. But it's never that easy!! The master cylinders had different fitting sizes on both the front and rear bowls. So, I had to make new brake lines. I really, really hate making brake lines, especially since I couldn't find my good tubing bender.

But it's done. And now when I sit at stop lights with light pressure on the pedal, the pedal doesn't slowly sink to the floor!!

Got the steering finished up. Installed the break and fuel line. Finally got the Stang off the rotisserie and on the ground. Moving right along.

Yikes! Why not take the master back and get the correct one?

Good job Brian! You gonna have it at MBB this year?

Ron, it would take a small miracle and an influx of cash to have it finished by then, but who knows. Stranger things have happened. It should definitely be there next year though.

After getting sticker shock on an early 64 headlight switch from Scott Drake at Charlotte when we were there, I pulled the damn thing out and cleaned everything with brake cleaner, stuck it all back together and the thing worked! Then I munched the turn signal flasher when putting the dash back in and of course our hicktown auto parts store didn't have one for that application so off to Fresno I went to get a five dollar part for ten bucks in fuel!

Anyway, all the lights work and I even fixed the little light bulb in the turn signal indicator window. On a 64.5, there's just one little bulb and it's been dead for years! Also lubed the speedo cable while the dash was out.

Now I know most Stangfix members are always working on their cars but I pride myself in driving the thing for years without working on it so meh! it's good for another ten years now!
