What did you get done on your Stang today????

Yep, I have the car registered as a classic too. Any Car not registered as an antique needs to pass a yearly inspection. It is emissions exempt however.

The reason i went with a classic plate instead of antique, is b/c the antique need to be parked after dusk. If the street lights are on, they are not permitted on the road.
I have regular plates on mine because we supposedly have mileage and other restrictions for antique plates. I'm not sure we have a "classic" option... however, in KY I think all you need is a reflective triangle duct taped on the back and it will pass inspection.

Got the AC working again yesterday. Also got the cig. lighter working. Julie needs that to plug her phone adapter into to charge while we are on the HRPT.

Broke the clip that holds up the speedometer cable and now the brakes started squeaking. Just when I think the car is ready for the tour.

Is it suppose to look awesome? I just put in in and got lucky, I guess. It took me a little while to figure out where to put it in the quarter panel.

Sprayed the interior steel with SIngle stage 1950 dodge semi gloss velvet black I like the look Now I can wrestle with this repo dash pad.

Finally got more metal fab done today on the coupe. The left fender apron has been modified to relocate battery to that side. I got the lower section all welded in. If I'm not too tired tomorrow when I get home from work I hope to close the top section up and call it done!

finished my front end cleanup & shot two coats of black epoxy on today.

I got my engine bay prepped and primed on saturday, but didn't get to spray the topcoat. I had some issues with the primer wrinkling the old finish in a couple spots, and it not wanting to dry, so going to have to wait a few days, wetsand and try again... grrrrr

Switched out my pos CJ's fuel sender for a cleaned up used original unit. Drained all the gas then put in a measured 4 gallons. Autometer gauge read a little over 1/8. Went to the gas station up the street and filled up checking reading in 4 gallon increments. It is a little off but close enough for me.

Went for a long drive in ol blue yesterday up in the mountains. Put on another 250 miles or so bringing the total to about a 1000 since getting back on the road. The car is running really well, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.

mounted the upper mounting plate of the seatbelt harness.
I didn't welded it in , I rivetted it .It just has to hold it in place IMO.
Ooh btw I did work on the window regulators too , sorry no pics from that.

repacked the grease in the steering box (i think it was empty!) feels much better now. bolted it up to the frame along with a few other items. will start on the front suspension tomorrow...

Today I mounted the lower reinforcement plate in the rocker panel.
I cut an opening in the rocker behind the quarter panel ( see pic )
took a rod and welded it to the reinforcement plate and guided it through that hole and positioned it .Then I placed a bolt and tighted it to the inner rocker.
After that , I drilled two holes and secured it by two big rivettes .
IMO its very good to hold the retractor of the seat bells.
