What did you get done on your Stang today????

Pulled the cover off the 69, fired her up and took a spin around the block to blow the cobwebs and dust off.

Hit modify instead of reply and added my post to yours...... :roul

Looking good. As for the rear springs, get it to it's final weight before you change anything. I have mid eyes on mine and it settled to about 3/4 of in inch from where I wanted it. I cut my front springs 1/2 a coil before I put the ac and power steering back in it and wish I'd have waited. It dropped about another 3/8ths in the front. I'm ok with that but now I have to drop the rear a little more to level it out. I don't care too much for the raked look.

How did you lower the rear? Blocks?

Bill

Yes. Sanborn unapproved I know. Had some custom made by a member here 3/4 inch.

how much lower do you want to go? have an idea on modding those without having to make another set...

Put my Modern Driveline Clutch cable in (Sorta) the Long tube headers will have to go, "they didn't clear the crossmember anyway"-I just do not like Shorty's but will have to use them :rant

Jacked the car up blocked it and going to start the fuel lines in the morning.

-On a side note My brother and I Painted the local fire departments water truck with a pressure pot-first time- In trade for a 4wd truck for my dad Suprised him today for his 80th birthday, He loved it

It is amazing unmolested 1978 F250 with 20K original miles that was in a heated garage since 1979, Great deal!

Sounds like a great birthday present. Is he still driving at 80?

I'm planning on starting my fuel lines tomorrow too. It's hard to get motivated when its 35 and snowing today. Where the heck is spring?

Yeah he is an excellent driver, Been having heart problems so i dont know how much longer he will be able to enjoy driving it.

+1 so sick of the weather, Laying on cold concrete bending line isn't fun, But my friend will be home in 3 weeks and we are planning on going to the local drag strip

He has a 1994 GT 302 with trick flow 170's and an old vortech supercharger AOD 4.10 gears
My car is a 393 T5 with 2.79 gears I'm gonna get shamed if i run with these gears.

I'll throw up a video once we do it. This summer we'll have to set up a work day I'll come and help you out with your EFI project.

You did all that work just to tow it on a trailer??????? :wth

I did not get time to shake it down before the trip. Too many changes to chance it. In particular, I have not had enough time to gain trust in the fan setup yet.

I'm thinking another 3/8 to 1/2.

They put me in occasional driven class but judged the undercarriage since I trailed it. Took a bronze. Not bad I guess considering I've done nothing under the car except whatever new parts are on it, new control arms, strut rods, etc. Everything else has dirt dating back to 1969.
