What did you get done on your Stang today????

Installed new ORP spring perches. I hate pulling and reinstalling coil springs!!
Painted the front brake calipers.
Lubed the front end.
NEXT:
Drain and flush the power steering system.
Paint rear brake drums.
Rotate the tires.

The only things I have left of my '86 GT are the fog light covers, antenna and radio block off plates (I special ordered "radio delete" when I ordered mine, though it still came with speakers installed!). Ooops, almost forgot, I have the window sticker and sales brochure too!

Doh! I forgot... I still have the original AM/FM Radio... only used it for a year few weeks. I preserved the window sticker...I told the dealer not to remove it. I foolishly gave that to the buyer when I sold it. Maybe someday I'll get the rest of the parts to build another.

I picked up a cheap OBDI tester and ran a self test on the computer.
I couldnt seem to get the check engine light to work for the self test. Nothing but a couple of soft codes from deleted emissions stuff.

Also bought coolant, oil and trans fluid. Tomorrow I'm planning to finish the final connections on the fuel lines and fill her up with fluids. With any luck I may be able to fire the engine. Not getting my hopes up too much, but we will see what happens.

Brought her home from a three day weekend in the mountains of East Tennessee. Drove the Cherohala Skyway twice, Foothills Parkway twice and Tail of the Dragon once. About 650 miles total, including the drive there and back. She never even broke a sweat! :beer

Good luck Pat. I know you've been going through some trials to get to this point and wish you the best with it!

Thanks John. My biggest struggle has been time. I think I'm setting a world record for the longest efi swap in history.
I've gotten more done in the last 3 months thanks to our little girl starting daycare. Now I actually have days off to myself. I get 1 day every other week to work on it.

Got the turn signals working on the Diamond Blue 68 and drove it to work today. Got to get the floor console back together now.

Since Thursday night, I've been to 2 Cruise-Ins, the Syracuse Nationals and up north to visit the wifes family at a camp they rented. About 275 miles on the 69. Other than popping the heater core, she's been flawless.

Hi, I replaced the front shocks, added chrome export brace/shock towers, and installed David67's carb linkage.

WTF! Are you using a milk carton crate to hold the car up?

The milk crate is has many uses like making my butt hurt when you sit on it.

I thought the same thing and was getting ready to comment on it too, but it looks like there is a jackstand just behind it. You can somewhat see the base of the stand through the milk crate and also above it. At least I hope that is the case... Although milk crates are strong, I wouldn't trust one to hold up a car.

Ordered my 408W shortblock today! I'll eventually get around to updating my build thread, as I've had a little progress.

I believe this is the correct response... :weas

Who did you order from, if I may be so bold?
