What did you get done on your Stang today????

WTF! Are you using a milk carton crate to hold the car up?[/quote]

Hi Craig. Sorry to disappoint; but a Redneck I am not. They use cinder blocks.

Like stangg said, I used jack stands. Since the stands were at the rearmost part of the front frame rails, I put my trusty B.F. milk crate underneath the right side and a floor jack on the left side. (To get maximum front end sag to install the exp. brace) 100 degrees + in the garage that day.

Had to change out my intake manifold gasket on my car. It was so much fun!!! Since my dad is retired and has nothing to do he came over helped me.

Hi, I replaced the front shocks, added chrome export brace/shock towers, and installed David67's carb linkage.

Thats dangerous man !!
Good observation Craig !!

a second observation shows a jack stand behind the crate !!

Though it's not a big thing, I got the drive shaft for the coupe cleaned up and painted. Although they weren't painted originally, I wanted it to stay semi clean. I hit it with some Eastwood Detail Grey for the tube and some Cast Coat for the ends. After it dried it rubbed it lightly with a used scuffing pad to knock down the shine and even everything out. It came out looking pretty good and under the car everything will appear to be bare metal. Due to the lighting in the garage not being very conducive to good pics, I'll post one tomorrow.

I received my American Auto Wire harness yesterday. Now I have to wait until winter to install it. It is the only thing on the car I regret not doing and now it will be checked off my list. Actually, after this is done I won't have a to-do list on the car! :yah

Installed a new "Saleen Mustang" windshield banner today... to replace the one I installed 6 weeks ago that was peeling. We THINK the other decal had a problem with the Stoner's Glass Cleaner that I use. :chair Cleaned the windshield with rubbing alcohol this time.

Checked all the fluids and started packing spare parts and cleaning supplies for the trip to Houston...

Ya know how the phrase, "while I'm at it", usually ends with a one day project turning into a three + year ordeal? On a rare occasion, "while I'm at it" turns out good. Since I had already restored some parts early today, after dinner I figured "while I'm at it". Since I had been waiting for the phosphate solution to cool down I said screw it. I threw the engine lift hooks, frame portion of the motor mounts and the attaching hardware into the blast booth. Once done I tuned the phosphate back on and while waiting for it to come to temp I painted the lift hooks and motor mounts. I then phosphated the attaching hardware. No pics right now because it got a little late. My rainy day list got pretty short today! :thum

wanna bet?
No. I would likely loose. I just can't think of anything else I would do except change the wheels and get a new steering wheel. :)

Installed the previously pictured air silencer, checked the tires and gave everything one last once-over.

Pulled out the buffer, hit a couple minor paint-correction issues, followed by a full polish with #7, and a coat of wax.

Officially ready to go, just waiting on 4:30 AM Thursday to get here now. :pop

Diamond Blue coupe is all back together after some under dash fixes. Installed the lower console, radio, glove box and passenger seat today to finish up.

Time for a new project.

Finished rebuilding my front end with all Shaun's stuff. Extremely happy how it turned out. Interesting how I needed to adjust the bumpsteer on the right side after by an inch. It's getting the 4 wheel alignment today. I hope in two hours I can pick it up. Next...run the car until all the old gas is out then place the good stuff after. Hoping for the dyno next week.
