It's getting closer... When I yank on it - it's still pretty solid in the corner. Give it another day and she'll be off. And you sick bastids will get yo' pic fix.

Suck it up and yank the thing off already. I've done more extensive self surgery with an exacto knife, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and ice. A flappy toenail is nothing. I've even scared my mother when I was losing baby teeth. As soon as they got slightly loose, I'd yank them out with a kitchen towel. When I was 14, I cut a wart OUT of my thumb with a buck knife and a bucket of ice.
So go to to wal mart, buy you a pair, man up, and pull the thing off.

If I had the inclination to do so I'd post up pictures of my R index fingernail. It's starting to look pretty narly. The holes from the red hot needle that I poked through the nail a couple weeks ago are slowly making their way towards the end as the nail grows. I'm unsure yet whether I'll lose the nail.... it doesn't have that "dead" feeling to it. We'll see. The good news is that I won't be losing my R thumbnail. The needle trick definitely saved the nail.

dude, from the looks of that old one, you could get a more authentic looking "faux nail" out of a box of corn flakes. i'm sure there has to be one in the box that would fit :scar
