On your internal cup piece, does that square punchout have a dog eared piece protruding towards the cam face?

So....
Does the eccentric dog ear just locate inside the hole on the cam gear where the pin also engages (from the other side)? I guess that pin is just long enough to engage the cam sprocket but not extend far enough to conflict with that dog ear of the eccentric?
My one piece'r just used the cam dowel to locate and position fix it once the nut & washer were installed. My washer partially covered the end of my dowel to hold it in place...

Yeah that pic is the 2-piece eccentric. The 2-piece uses the tab to actuate the eccentric to the cam sprocket. So, short dowel with the 2-piece eccentric so that the tab can go into the dowel hole slightly. With a 1-piece eccentric, you need the longer dowel so that it goes the full depth of the cam sprocket as well as protrude through the eccentric (but not too far so that the bolt/washer can bolt flush to the eccentric).
