If Bruno can wait until his visit here next year there is a company that might be able to help.
Can you make a drawing of the fittings you need, shape and threads?

Thx , but I have found a shop that will alter my pressure hose from Borgeson. I will take some pics and post them tomorrow. Thx all for helping me out here or tried to.

OK. Finally have some succes. After buying 2 sets of borgeson hoses ( one for a V8 another one for a I6 , which are longer ) I have alter the shortest one and it finally fits like I want. A call to Borgeson didn't help much ! No assistents at all !! See pics for comparison and installation.

Looks like a neat solution. Seems close to the exhaust. Any chance for the fluid to boil?

Might be just the angle of the photo

Hi Tony.
It looks close but it isn't. Bad pics .
That was the whole idea to avoid the fluid getting too hot.

Hi. Well I assembled everything back together yesterday. Bent the hardlines of the p/s hoses a bit at the steeringbox. Still have to make a bracket that will hold the return hose from the headers cause that hose goes down at the steeringbox , under the headers to and over the crossmeber and motormount to the pump. Did run the engine and blead the p/s circuit. No leaks !
Before hitting the road I have to blead the brake system. That I can do when my son comes by.
But I have a little tweak/noise when turning the steeringwheel. Didn't do it before nor when I converted it and prior installing into the car.
First impression is good but will it be as good as they say while driving ?? We will see.
And yes..it will take awhile when I know if it works....when I have to wait for Mike to come over and help me to blead the brakes !

Autum is very busy and temps drop. Had alot of rain and more to come. Beware UK !!
I bleeded the brakes of the fastback and took a little testdrive before tucking in for winter storage.
The "feel" of the steeringwjeel while driving is very good , on a good road at least. Have to wait how it feels when there is some rutting on the highway from heavy transport. But that is less every year cause we have alot of roadworks. As in Germany too.

Next will be the outside mirrors. Man are they flimsy ! And small ! Having a fastback , both outside mirrors aren't a luxury to have !!

Next year the fastback will have its first MOT for the next 5 years. Before 2019 it had an inspection once before it was allowed to public road and having a license plate. After that you were good to go for years. But in 2019 it changed to a periodcally inspection of 5 years.

Only need to put back in is the instrument cluster.

So now you can start planning for next summer and where you're going to drive/ visit.

Yeah the mirrors suck on all the early mustangs. More like ornamental rather than functional. I can't see anything in mine at all

Maybe next project is some cameras in mirrors and a rear backup camera ???
A tablet at the dash...Tesla style LMAO.

While inspecting underneath/ the undercarrige of the stang, I noticed that that small flexline of the fuelline was old/never been replaced . My bad. So I took some precaution. Took a piece of s/s braided fuelline w new hoses clamps but also took a slightly bigger cloth waeved old fuel line to slide it over the hardline that goes through the torque box. So the hardline doesn't rattle in the openings front and rear. It also prevends from scoring/sand through the fuel hardline.

Are you using the stock instrument cluster? If you are I suggest taking it all apart and repainting the inside to a more reflective color (at least refresh it). Also change all the bulbs to LEDs. I did mine a few years ago and it is much brighter now. Except that the high beam light is like a lazer to my eyeballs.:p

Good idea Mike. Will look into that although I have cleaned it up a few years ago. Don't know what I did at the time.

I also had the clock in the center which did not work. I switched in a oil pressure gauge.

Took the cluster and tested it. All good. All old style bulb but bought new some years ago. But the high beam light wasn't blue when lit up so I replaced it with a blue led bulb. Worked fine. Looks I don't miss when accidently drive with high beam on .
I checked my other instrument clusters cause I thought I had led bulbs bought in the past and couldn't find them.
BTW am I a hoarder or collecter regarding instrument clusters ?

My collection : one with those white dials sold years ago. One project , almost finished , is a converstion with autometer gauges in metric configuration, and last one I put together with what I had left over. Plus some parts. All collected over almost 30 years when I started this hobby.
